Governance

Respect for the principles of good governance is a major concern for structures working in the humanitarian and development fields. Given the context of mistrust, they must redouble their efforts and be rigorous in order to strengthen their credibility, seriousness and reliability in the eyes of the populations and partners.

Good governance requires in particular that leaders do not use their privileged status to make personal profit, the responsibility of all stakeholders, the strengthening of democratic leadership mechanisms, the implementation of clear decision-making processes, the development of complete statutes and internal regulations.

Internal corruption risk prevention strategies are necessary. This is reflected in particular by the drafting and signing of a code of conduct based on an ethical charter, the existence of financial control mechanisms to ensure compliance with management policies and partnership requirements.
